Lambda, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and senior Network Business Operations & Supplier Support Manager to join our dynamic team.

What You’ll Do:

As the Network Business Operations & Supplier Support Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the procurement, management, and support of network circuits, ensuring seamless connectivity and reliable performance across the organization. Additionally, you will be essential to the success of business operations within the Data Center Infrastructure organization, managing a wide range of tasks to support the organization’s goals. This position requires expertise in network cloud interconnect, SLA monitoring, contract negotiation, and overall operational support. You must also be an excellent partner to our suppliers, with the ability to hold your own in negotiations and build strong, mutually beneficial relationships. As this is a startup environment, you will need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and jump in wherever necessary to support the team and drive success.

To succeed in this role, you must be agile and detail-oriented, with a keen ability to identify potential issues and react swiftly to mitigate their impact. As a cross-functional position, you will collaborate with various teams across departments, enhancing communication and efficiency.

Business Operations

  • End to end support

Network Circuit Procurement

  • Lead RFQ process and collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and determine the most effective circuit solutions.

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including vendor evaluation, selection, and negotiation of contracts.

  • Ensure timely delivery and installation of network circuits to meet business needs.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to oversee and drive multiple supplier service delivery initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ensure compliance with SLAs and internal performance metrics.

  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for provisioning workflows.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline provisioning and reduce delivery timelines.

Supplier Management and Support

  • Contract SLA management, partnering with networking team to review network circuit uptime and proactively identify SLA breaches and obtain credits accordingly

  • Develop and implement comprehensive circuit procurement strategies to optimize usage and cost

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot circuit-related problems that require escalation

  • Review and approve invoices from suppliers ensuring accuracy and timely approval

  • Track all supplier issues, drive resolution and report

Cloud Interconnect

  • Work closely with cloud service providers to establish and maintain reliable interconnectivity between Lambda's on-premises network infrastructure and cloud environments

  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud interconnect solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices

Contract Negotiation and Vendor Management

  • Lead contract negotiations with circuit providers, ensuring favorable terms, competitive pricing, and appropriate SLAs

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with circuit vendors, monitoring their performance and adherence to contractual obligations

  • Conduct regular vendor evaluations and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement

You

  • Have a proven experience in business operations and network circuit procurement, management, provisioning and support, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment

  • Have experience managing budgets and cost optimization, ensuring cost-effective procurement of network circuitry equipment and services

  • Possess demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable contract terms and pricing

  • Have strong knowledge of cloud interconnect solutions and their implementation, including direct connect, VPN, and ExpressRoute

  • Have a solid understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and experience in monitoring and enforcing SLA compliance

  • Possess knowledge of completing sales order forms (from local networking suppliers)

  • Understand the provisioning of network bandwidth for IP transit, fiber, and wavelength service

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve network circuit-related issues

  • Possess strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records of network circuitry orders, inventory, cross-connects, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.

  • Are able to generate reports and provide analysis for management or troubleshooting purposes

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business) from four-college or university and 3 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or 7+ years equivalent experience

  • Collaborate effectively with senior network engineers to gather technical requirements and ensure network vendors deliver solutions that meet those specifications.

Nice to Have

  • Network operations background/experience

  • Network+ and/or PMP certification

  • A Proficiency in network performance deployment, monitoring, performance, and configuration tools

  • Familiarity with telecommunications regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks in network circuitry procurement and support

  • Basic Jira Proficiency

Salary Range Information

The annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
