App Annie is looking for someone who is passionate about planning and leading events, both strategically and tactically. You’re resourceful and can work independently as well as part of a team. You’re exceptionally detail-oriented, and care deeply not only about execution, but in the quality of your work. You have experience with and are comfortable working closely with all levels of an organization, from the CEO to your marketing teammates and beyond.

As App Annie’s Americas Events Lead (contract), you will report into the Director of Marketing, Americas and will lead our North America event marketing initiatives, as well as our large-scale internal events. This is a 9-month contract role, located in our San Francisco headquarters.

What you can tell your friends when they ask you what you do?

  • Lead the planning and execution of all events (owned, sponsored and large-scale internal)
  • Ensure proper tracking of Salesforce campaigns and report on event success
  • Ensure that our processes are scalable and allow for a deep understanding of what worked and what could be improved. Post-mortems and ROI analysis enthusiasts welcomed!
  • Coordinate event staff schedules
  • Manage the internal event master calendar
  • Research and keep up-to-date on industry events, plus present findings
  • Work with Creative to develop eye-catching collateral
  • Build event landing pages, help write email copy and manage event communications
  • Oversee industry event sponsorships, and all communication with event planning organizations with whom we work
  • Work with a high number of internal stakeholders, from your marketing and sales teammates to IT staff to the company’s Executive team
  • Supervise logistics from planning to execution stages including but not limited to registrations, reservations, payments, assessing vendors, establishing partnerships, Swag Production, researching additional opportunities related to each event and overseeing all aspects of the booth to ensure content and business meetings.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and quality delivery of each event.
  • Manage budget, invoices and payments, and monthly budget reconciliation.
  • Prepare content and submit deliverables such as websites blurbs, logos, blogs, and ads.
  • Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback and incorporate learning into future plans.

  • Minimum 3 years in an event planning role within a marketing team
  • Exceptional organizational skills
    Strong attention to details…there will be lots of them
  • Direct and clear communication, both oral and written - both upward and downward and across an organization
  • Consistent out-of-the-box thinking
  • Passion for the apps industry a big plus
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Excel, Google Docs, PowerPoint, Asana
  • Bachelor’s degree
