Join GRAIL’s existing security team to build security into all areas of our software/product development, and ongoing operations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams including IT, Clinical, Lab and Commercial Operations to continually enhance our security strategy and define project road maps. You will be in a position to assist the engineering team build new tools and automation systems to help detect cancer.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the cloud operations team responsible for infrastructure build-out, operating our cloud environments, and improving developer productivity by applying DevOps principles.
* Setting up, maintaining, and executing automated tests on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web (PaaS platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure).
* Augment the security team in evaluating current and proposed software designs, network infrastructure to assess security risk, as well as propose and implement solutions.
* Identification of security risks and provide solutions to eliminate or reduce those risks.
* Collaborate with engineering, test engineering, SRE, and product management to architect and build systems/features that are highly available, reliable, and secure.
* Ensure application and infrastructure security follows ISO 27K, PCI, HiTrust, and HIPAA controls.
Minimum qualifications:
* Master’s degree or Bachelor's +8 years of relevant work experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or similar technical field.
* Experience managing and building security and or cloud operations teams.
* Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux OS internals, SSO, certificate management, authorization, and encryption.
* Strong network and security experience including switching and routing protocols, firewalls, penetration testing, network assessment, DHCP, DNS, IPV4 and IPV6, VPN, SSH protocols, SSL/TLS certificate management.
* Represent the security team in architectural discussions, provide security review to our product releases and our external partners.
Preferred qualifications:
* AWS Certification such as the Architect or preferably Security Specialty.
* Deep understanding of security principles including encryption, authentication, etc.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
