We’re looking for a Business Operations Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be a part of the Customer Operations Team at Divvy that coordinates with our customers, agents, and title companies to close on homes in our growing portfolio. You’ll conduct a critical component of our business and be an important representative of Divvy. To do this, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator and have the ability to execute and model the highest standards of customer service for our team. 


You’ll report to the Closings Manager and work with fellow teammates on ensuring customers have a smooth transition from accepted offer to Divvy tenant. The following will be key to supporting your teammates and Divvy customers: attention to detail, being forward-looking, the ability to multitask and adapt, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and manage multiple stakeholders. You will be the final hurdle between being a Divvy customer and being a Divvy tenant, making the job a lynchpin in the Divvy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating between the customer, title/escrow companies, real estate brokers, and potentially lenders
  • Regularly communicating across teams (engineering, capital markets, sales, home operations) to ensure the necessary documents and controls are in place to successfully close on a home
  • Collection and analysis of customer operations information for reporting to partners
  • Ensuring customer obligations are met as they transition from the inspection phase to home closing
  • Reviewing paperwork for accuracy prior to close
  • Managing difficult customer situations
  • Proactively identifying issues that could affect the successful closing of a home
  • Working on strategic initiatives to improve the customer and closing experience at scale

Experience

  • You have 2+ years of experience in a customer operations, title, or mortgage closing role
  • You are able to think strategically and take ownership of projects
  • You have the initiative and drive to make processes better
  • You have exceptional organizational and customer relations skills
  • You understand how to make your job scaleable with limited resources
  • You are able to manage difficult conversations with a focus on resolution
  • You are thorough and detail oriented
  • You have an strong work ethic 
  • You are able to power through short term obligations while simultaneously thinking about long term improvements
  • You are able to quickly learn how different parts of the business interact and improve on those interactions
  • Expertise in residential real estate or property management a plus
