About the Team
Crunchyroll Games is seeking a Community Manager to add value to our creative and passionate team as we grow the online community surrounding the Crunchyroll Games brand.
We are a cross-functional team of highly-motivated people spanning several internal departments — from Business to Marketing to Audience Development to Design. The team works closely with external content providers and licensors to develop and promote mobile games for the Crunchyroll

About the Role:
The Community Manager for Crunchyroll Games will contribute a strong understanding of fan communities and a strategic use of social media. They will lead strategy and execution efforts required to fully manage the communities around our growing business unit of mobile games produced by Crunchyroll Games.
Priorities include the daily guidance, collaboration, and mentorship of two Crunchyroll Games team members as well as execution of the daily community social content strategy across multiple mobile game properties. As part of a team and reporting to the Director of Games Marketing, they will work towards team and business-level goals around community management, awareness, promotion, engagement, sentiment, and conversions. There may be the occasional need to respond to partner dealings or tend to our community channels on nights/weekends.
We anticipate the person in this role will be a fan of gaming and/or mobile gaming -- eager to play and become authentic, in-game specialists for the mobile titles they will represent. Prior, direct experience or comfortability with generating game-related video content for streaming video platforms is a plus.
A day in the life of our Community Manager, Mobile Games:
- Develop a deep understanding of all communities within Crunchyroll as a brand, product, and across titles.
- Connect with and nurture relationships with the community; make posts, write content, respond to reviews, etc. while maintaining Crunchyroll’s authentic tone and personality.
- Coordinate and assist team to create frequent and compelling original content across social media channels utilizing common media formats.
- Develop and execute on streaming video content strategy for platforms such as Twitch, Facebook Live, and/or YouTube Live.
- Assess, establish, and own community strategies for released and unreleased titles; regularly optimizing and evaluating current strategies to fit the constantly-evolving digital world.
- Communicate player issues and feedback on in-game events and community reactions to Product, Customer Support, Development, and Marketing to improve upon and overcome game issues.
- Collaborate with User Acquisition team on paid strategies to demonstrate material growth in awareness, engagement and conversion targets (DAU, installs, revenue generated and re-engagement metrics).
- Report internally and with Japanese game partners on performance.
About You:
- 4-7+ years of experience in community management or equivalent, meaningful understanding and authentic usage of social media platforms in transferable capacities.
- Familiarity and/or readiness to lead and mentor a team of two (2) or more.
- Prior, professional experience building, nurturing, and successfully running online communities or forums.
- Proficient with the latest technologies and techniques used in building and maintaining successful gaming communities across in-game forum, social, Discord, and others.
- Experience managing and/or overseeing paid social campaigns with engagement-focused goals
- Preference utilizing analytics and data to identify and support opportunities of community growth
- Strong sense of internet culture and trends in content and a knack storytelling
- Respect for anime and gaming and its lifestyle and culture, familiarity with fandom communities
