The Company

Minted is a design marketplace, sourcing creative content from independent artists around the globe and selling the best designs to the world in the form of art, home decor, and stationery. Founded in 2007 by Mariam Naficy on the principles of transparency and putting design first, we are early pioneers of crowdsourcing having launched our first design challenge in April 2008 and have held monthly art and design challenges ever since. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to learn more. Our corporate headquarters is located near the waterfront in downtown San Francisco, with additional offices in Oakland and Kansas City and we're backed by Benchmark Capital, IDG Ventures SF, Menlo Ventures, Primera (angel investors include Marissa Mayer of Yahoo and Jeremy Stoppelman of Yelp). We're a team of smart, ambitious, creative, and passionate people who come from all walks of life. Might you be one of us?

Minted is seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented communicator and problem-solver as our Community Support Specialist, our front-line of support with Minted’s most important constituency, our global community of independent artists. Reporting to the Associate Manager of Community Support, this role is ideal for a highly-organized, empathic, and service-oriented individual who enjoys creative pursuits such as design and art.

The Artist Relations team finds, supports, engages, and retains Minted’s talented community of artists. We protect one of Minted’s most strategic assets and fuel Minted’s mission of uncovering exceptional design from independent artists all over the world.

You Will:

  • Field and triage individual artist community email cases. Deliver a high standard of service.
  • Monitor the Community Facebook Group daily and help flag artist issues and create posts.
  • Own and curate our online knowledge base for artists, helping our artists to help themselves.
  • Make sure that the knowledge base is easy to navigate, written in a clear and consistent voice, and succinctly solves the problems and questions that our artists face.
  • Measure and analyze artist contacts to our support desk. Make our help desk more efficient by identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce unnecessary contacts.
  • Facilitate the effective resolution of issues that arise within the community.
  • Track design infringement and oversee removal of infringing designs both on Minted and on external websites.
  • Be an internal advocate for artist needs and product requests across merchandising, brand, marketing, product management, and engineering teams.

You Are:

  • Enjoy providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with individuals.
  • Have outstanding written and verbal communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and good judgment.
  • Enjoy rolling up your sleeves and communicating directly with artists and solving problems on their behalf. You care about the small details in serving artists needs and managing relationships.
  • Friendly, helpful, positive and thoughtful in all communications, with impeccable follow-thought.
  • Passionate about design, art, or other creative fields and excited about Minted’s mission of supporting independent artists.

You Have:

  • 1-2 years of business experience, preferably in a customer-facing or external-facing role
  • Outstanding communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accountability
  • Experience with CRMs and social media platforms, such as Salesforce and Facebook
  • Plugged into art or design communities a plus
  • Familiarity with graphic design or art a plus
  • A Bachelor’s Degree
