Director, Business Operations & Strategy

Location:  Ideally, San Francisco Bay Area.  May consider elsewhere on the West Coast for the right candidate

We are seeking a motivated and versatile individual who would work closely with business partners and senior executives to support our high growth business.

As the first member of the Business Operations & Strategy team, you will be a senior individual contributor and work directly with our VP of Finance & Operations and executives to identify key business trends and actionable insights, develop recommendations, and roll up your sleeves to drive key projects and initiatives to conclusion.

This is a high impact role that requires someone who can build rapport and earn trust cross-functionally and across our distributed team. If you are someone who thrives on distilling complex business problems into actionable insights, working with multiple stakeholders and projects across an organization, and synthesizing ideas into compelling work products in a fast-paced and analytically rigorous environment, we would love to talk to you.

Ideally you are someone who has experience in both management consulting and hands-on experience working at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.

On a typical day, you will…

  • Be a thought partner to key decision makers and partner with executives across the company to help drive strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Drive the development of critical insights, crafting strategies, and scaling the most impactful and innovative business initiatives.
  • Do things that don’t always scale to create the first iteration of insights, analyses, or processes.
  • Own cross-functional projects that have multiple possible owners - or no obvious owner.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify interdependencies and any process inefficiencies, build solutions, and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Help build processes that outlast any individual - actively look for ways to improve upon and optimize existing procedures, systems, and processes.
  • Autonomously build your own analyses and dashboards to measure your projects' successes.

About you

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting and/or business operations and strategy roles at high growth SaaS companies.
  • Deep knowledge and experience managing projects across a broad number of contributors and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively collaborate and drive initiatives cross-functionally.
  • Solid understanding of the key drivers of a B2B SaaS business.
  • A motivated self-starter with a high sense of ownership.
  • Strong academic background from top college or MBA.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
