What is the Director, Care Delivery Role?

The Director of Care Delivery is a vital leadership position that provides strategy and operational influence to our team of clinicians ensuring our patients receive high-quality, 24/7 coordinated care. This role will report to the VP of Mindstrong Health Services and will be responsible for the strategic development and tactical implementation of measurement-based mental health care in a way that ensures overall quality in terms of member satisfaction, member clinical outcomes, and clinician engagement. This person will be a licensed clinician (Licensed Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, or LPC), possess outstanding leadership abilities, have extensive clinical experience managing serious mental illness in diverse populations, a strong knowledge base of clinical guidelines and practices, and be highly adept with technology in a virtual care setting. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure exceptional delivery of care starting from the intake and continuing throughout the member’s journey at Mindstrong.
  • Responsible for the leadership of clinical development, professional practice, and collaborates with Clinical Design and Ops. in organizational planning, innovation, and evaluation. 
  • Partner closely with clinical leaders in our care division to build, develop, and manage a high performing clinical care team.
  • Collaborate with our telepsychiatry partners to ensure network adequacy and timely access to care in a rapidly expanding practice across multiple markets.
  • Work with our Clinical Design and Innovation team to implement training for our clinical care team.
  • Partner with clinical leadership across all service lines (therapy, psychiatry, and care partners) to develop and maintain quality and safety programs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to create comprehensive and integrated care pathways across therapy, primary care, and psychiatry. You will be accountable for the approval and successful rollout of all clinically valid protocols and pathways.
  • Facilitates interactive management and the development of strong relationships among key stakeholders to promote and improve organizational performance through those key relationships.
  • Ensure Team Managers and Leads are properly supported to provide day to day people management support in working with the assigned therapists team.
  • Responsible for implementing clinical guidelines and best practices in the areas of telehealth. 
  • Monitor and assess staff engagement, build team spirit and continuity; intervene and address any staff-related issues that are present in collaboration with the HRBP.  
  • Provide clinical consultation and case supervision to our network of licensed clinical specialists engaged in the mental health care of patients through a digital health platform.

What you need to succeed: 

  • Ability to innovate and creatively solve problems in a highly collaborative manner.
  • Ability to execute, and manage towards key operational and clinical quality benchmarks.
  • Training and experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of how multicultural factors intersect with mental health.
  • Demonstrated ability in 
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to pursue multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience growing and managing large, cross functional clinical teams is highly desirable.

Your background and skills:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or other relevant field required
  • Independent Licensure to practice therapy in at least one state, multiple preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience working in a clinical setting as a direct care provider.
  • 5+ years experience in leadership positions with heavy utilization of clinical and operational direction and oversight, program administration and quality improvement
