The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Director of Field Education & Engagement to design and scale Afterpay’s store associate curriculum & engagement programs. As Director of Field Education & Engagement, you’ll define how Afterpay engages and facilitates connections with store associates across thousands of merchant partners. You’ll ensure consistency and quality of experience, while taking into account the different categories, brands, and regions Afterpay serves. The ideal Field Education & Engagement Director will take their years of best-in-class retail experience and apply an entrepreneurial approach to creating and scaling learning and development and engagement programs for Afterpay across 100,000+ storefronts and millions of store associates.

-Develop a “North Star” philosophy that guides our decision-making and operationalization of Afterpay field training and engagement programs
-Partner with creative to create uniquely Afterpay & bar-raising store team curriculum and engagement programs that address new customer and revenue growth opportunities head-on
-Align creative concept development with store team experience objectives and business needs, working cross functionally with internal stakeholders including marketing, creative, sales, and operations in addition to merchant partners
-Own the development and launch of Afterpay field training & development programs in order to drive store team engagement, and ultimately in-store usage
-Create a best in class knowledge of store teams & engagement models in each sector (fashion, beauty, department stores, mass retail, home, etc), to drive a measurable impact on shopper understanding, purchase intent and conversion
-Oversee the design, production, and project management for learning & development programs
-Identify and onboard 3rd party vendors as needed to serve scale
-Own process from briefing to delivery
-Drive weekly/monthly/quarterly communications to all stakeholders in various formats
-Lead the review and analysis of all in learning programs, demonstrating sales uplifts, CX impact and ROI
-Oversee planning and management of program budget, leveraging financial rigor to prioritize and allocate resources effectively
Who are you?

You will have ….
-8+ years experience in learning & development, field training leadership, and/or field marketing
-Proven e-learning design and development experience and experience with designing, developing, and delivering blended learning strategies
-Significant experience in high-growth consumer-facing or retail-centric environments
-Highly collaborative, globally minded with an extremely high level of customer focus and cultural sensitivity
-Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
-High attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
-Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of at least 5 people
-Ability to travel up 20% of the time
