About the Role
As Chime’s Director of IT, you will be responsible for Chime’s internal IT systems, infrastructure, and the operations of the internal IT team. You will own Chime’s internal applications and business systems to ensure we are optimally leveraging tools, while architecting solutions that will scale. With geographically distributed offices, you will define Chime’s technology strategy and vision, setting clear expectations that employees can understand and be accountable to uphold.
You will partner with business function owners to develop and execute a technical plan that helps achieve our business goals, reduce security risks, and drive end-user satisfaction, while maintaining reliable and effective operations and systems companywide.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team that oversees all IT functions across distributed offices
- Define a technology strategy and vision of how that unfolds over a multi-year period
- Work cross-functionally with InfoSec, People Ops, Workplace, DevOps teams
- Seek opportunities to automate environments, allowing time to handle outliers
- Architect and implement a vision that scales to support hyper growth
- Willing to travel, supporting the build out of new sites as needed
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT
- 3+ years of management experience
- Experience driving the IT function for a growing global organization
- A hands-on leadership style, with a scrappy start-up mentality
- Passionate about supporting customers
- Has run overseen a service-desk like environment for employees local support
- Strong Mac and Windows support background
- Strong networking experience
- Ability to architect detailed solutions in the IT space
