Reddit is looking for an exceptional person who will start the Strategic Sourcing team at Reddit.  This person will design and implement an end-to-end strategic sourcing process and establish trusted relationships throughout the company to ensure that we are working with the right vendor and getting the best deal.  This person will take on a leading role in important service-provider negotiations and have a substantial impact on the company’s bottom line.  This person will report to the Senior Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead deal negotiations.
• Be the starting member of the Strategic Sourcing team at Reddit.
• Liaise among Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other departments to establish the role of Strategic Sourcing within the business and meld with existing business processes.
• Design, communicate and implement procurement processes.
• Partner with budget owners to prioritize sourcing opportunities company-wide and meet their needs in a way that maximizes ROI.
• Prioritize sourcing opportunities in partnership with internal stakeholders.  

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in similar roles, demonstrating ability to build a new competency from the ground up, ideally with knowledge of cloud services, contractor agencies, and other tech-related areas.
• Demonstrated expertise across the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing and corporate procurement, including: needs discovery and internal alignment of stakeholders, sourcing strategies, RFP development, supplier selection, contract negotiations, contract preparation, and deal review.  
• Skill in building trusted relationships with senior leadership and suppliers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

• Experience building framework for vendor management, including performance evaluation, benchmarking and procurement operations.
• Expertise in driving efficiencies by seeking opportunities to aggregate spend, conduct RFPs and evaluate suitability of conducting auctions for key commodities.
