Who We Are

Komodo Health is reducing the global burden of disease through the world’s most actionable map of healthcare data.

We’re a team of software engineers, data scientists, MDs, PhDs, healthcare industry veterans, and operators building a map of healthcare - a complete picture of how over 300 million US patients are being treated and moving through the system - and leveraging that map to drive transparency, reduce costs, and improve treatment quality. We work with life sciences companies, patient advocacy groups, payers, and stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.

We’re laser-focused on improving the healthcare system for those who matter most - patients - and have ambitious goals. We value our culture of being awesome, seeking growth, delivering “wow,” and enjoying the ride, and above all, we invest in our people. We doubled our business and our team in 2018, will double again in 2019, and work with the biggest movers and shakers in healthcare. It’s the perfect time to join and carve the path forward for Komodo, the healthcare industry, and yourself.

The Opportunity at Komodo Health

We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and task-oriented Executive Assistant to work closely with our highest-level leaders in the company.

You’ll work closely with our Chief of Staff and other executive assistants on the Executive Operations Team to ensure that our San Francisco executive team and company run as smoothly as possible. You’ll help bring simplicity to our executives’ lives and help them make the best decisions possible, both by removing distractions and providing the right context. You’ll support an executive team of great listeners who will work closely with you and carefully consider your ideas and recommendations. You’ll be busy keeping our executives focused on their priorities while performing administrative tasks to ensure Komodo’s workflow runs efficiently and smoothly.

At different points, you’ll be a calendar admin, travel coordinator, notetaker, confidante, event planner, project manager, or friendly face greeting an external visitor. We’ll not only need you to be responsive to our executive team’s (and company’s) needs, but also proactive. We need you to resolve admin and operational issues before anyone else knows about them, to make sure meetings and events run flawlessly, to work across the organization to juggle multiple projects and priorities. As the executives’ gatekeeper, you’ll need to have the highest level of discretion.

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Support and work closely with our executive team
  • Own travel and calendar coordination
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external meetings
  • Coordinate special events, such as offsites and celebrations, for our executive team and the company at-large, end-to-end from budget to logistics
  • Put together recurring reports for our executive team on a range of business-critical topics
  • Receive external guests/visitors as the friendly face of the company
  • Assist with office management responsibilities - e.g. delivery management - as necessary

As you grow in this role, you will have opportunities to:

  • Manage inbound requests - both internal and external - for our executive team’s time
  • Attend key executive team meetings and take, compile, and share meeting notes and follow up on action items
  • Provide research, briefings, and talking points to our executive team for specific meetings or events
  • Draft internal and external correspondence on behalf of the executive
  • Go deep on department-level and company-wide priorities and goals, align workstreams and calendars accordingly, and help manage the overall cadence of deliverables over time

What You Bring to Komodo:

  • 10+ years experience in C-suite administrative experience assisting multiple executives, ideally with some time at a start-up
  • Expert in Google Apps, especially Google Calendar, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to juggle priorities, comfortably switch focus midstream, and consistently follow through
  • Extraordinary meticulousness and attention to detail
  • Natural relationship builder and collaborator - you’ve never met someone you can’t work with
  • Flexibility and adaptability, including the ability to be responsive outside of regular business hours
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resourcefulness, proactivity, and an ability to take projects to completion with minimal direction and details
  • Uncompromising trustworthiness and impeccable judgment about what information can and cannot be shared
  • Service-oriented and not above rolling up your sleeves to solve problems across the company
  • Genuine interest in health tech and startups
