General Manager, SpotMe
About the role
As GM of SpotMe (Chimeās fee-free overdraft protection product), you will lead Chimeās efforts to take our most important and most differentiated product to the next level. You will work closely with our Product team to set an ambitious vision, achieve its monumental promise, and maintain its durability as a major driver for sustainable growth. You will have P&L responsibility for the product, and be responsible for working with key business partners in Product, Risk, Finance, and Marketing to strategically evaluate the trade-offs between competing goals and interests in the organization, to deliver the best solution for our members, and for Chime. This role will report directly to Chimeās VP, Lending Products and Banking Strategy, a member of the Chime Executive Team.Ā

In this role, you can expect toĀ
- Partner with Chimeās Product team to define our long-term strategic direction, ensuring that SpotMe remains a differentiated product that helps drive Chime's growth
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance to ensure we are achieving our ambitious goals while maintain compliance in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment
- Develop, prioritize, and execute on SpotMeās OKRs and shape how the product can help Chime meet its goals
- Own the P&L, partnering with Product, Finance, Risk, and Analytics to report financial performance and trends to the business and Chime board
To thrive in this role, you have
- Can co-create a strategic vision for the business incorporating Chimeās overall goals, financial performance, and consumer insights to further Chimeās leadership in this fast-moving product area
- Prior P&L ownership experience in a FinTech or Financial Services business
- Are comfortable weighing competing interests, driving hard towards a data driven outcome, all while maintaining a collaborative environment across the team
- Are adept in bringing clear and logical structure to ambiguous questions, you can synthesize on the fly and help the team see around corners in the org
- Have a proven track record of driving alignment across multiple levels of the organization, from Risk analysts to senior executives with diverse perspectivesĀ
- Understand the lending and banking market and competitive landscape, and are able to expand SpotMeās value-prop in this highly regulated environment
- Are driven by results and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex, high-visibility projects under tight deadlines
- Have 15+ years of work experience, including:
- Delivering corporate strategy projects at the Project Leader/Case Team Leader/Engagement Manager level or above at Top Tier management consulting firm, andĀ
- Working within a high growth Fintech startup
- Experience in Lending/Credit
