Position: Head of ESG Strategy & Engagement

About the Role

We're looking for an exceptional governance professional to oversee our ESG reporting and the development of our sustainability program. This is a newly created role that will be responsible for helping Zscaler develop a sustainability strategy, working closely with line of business leaders and other functional leaders across the organization. The ESG leader will coordinate the advancement of ESG systems, processes and programs across Zscaler. This position will report to the SVP of Investor Relations and Strategic Finance, and requires an individual comfortable presenting to the c-suite and board level.

What You'll Do

• Work with our People & Culture, Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, Cloud Operations and Customer Experience teams to develop a comprehensive sustainability strategy for Zscaler
• Coordinate data collection efforts that drive goals that are in keeping with best practices for the industry
• Lead engagement with existing and future investors regarding sustainability and ESG matters
• Coordinate responses to ESG and sustainability related questionnaires and surveys from institutional investors, customers and other groups
• Draft and contribute to Zscaler's ESG and sustainability disclosures and reports

What You'll Need

• 10+ years experience in ESG, sustainability or a related field, ideally in-house role
• Familiarity with key sustainability standards, SASB reporting, GRI, ESG rating firms, TCFD, and other broadly recognized reporting standards and frameworks.
• Confidence operating in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work cross functionally and develop relationships.
• Outstanding project management, writing, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• Experience engaging with institutional investors on ESG issues
• Flexibility to perform in nimble, rapidly changing and growing environments. 
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience working with business leaders.
• Collaborative approach with strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.
• Passionate about your work and a desire to have a big impact.

Bonus Points if you have:

• Professional experience as an ESG or CSR leader at a publicly traded company. 
• Experience with technology platforms.
