We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial-minded security engineer to lead security at Nightfall. As Head of Information Security, you will lead global security strategy and operations for the company. In addition to strengthening Nightfall’s security posture, as a security expert, you will work cross-functionally across the company to support pre- and post-sales efforts, drive security risk decisions and influence technical architecture, and build Nightfall’s brand as a thought leader in the security industry. 

Responsibilities

• Interface with prospects and customers and provide them with support as a partner on security best practices
• Lead prospect and customer facing security evaluations for successful sales enablement 
• Participate in conferences, events, forums, and communities, engage with the media, and publish blog posts and white papers to build Nightfall’s (and your!) brand as a thought leader in the Security industry
• Stay on top of the industry landscape, news, and best practices to bring back to Nightfall and Nightfall’s customers
• Lead all internal and external cybersecurity risk management activities
• Oversee security audits such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO assessments; perform deep-dive analyses to address vulnerabilities and threat assessments

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience representing an organization’s information security program with external parties
• Deep experience implementing controls and mitigating risks related to multiple compliance and audit frameworks (SOC 2, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
• Experience developing, planning, and implementing information security strategy in a cloud-based environment
• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to build compelling narratives to highlight the importance of security to internal and external, and technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to form strong cross-functional relationships
• Experience or interest in operating in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
• Strong project management and written and verbal communication skill
