Head of Partner Enablement

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Head of Partner Enablement and Delivery supports the development and scaling of our growing partner ecosystem. Partnering with our Alliances, Training and Professional Services teams, you will focus on partner enablement and advancing our partners’ technical and delivery skills to ensure go-to-market readiness and delivery success. The leader of this team should be a strategic thinker who can understand our partners’ needs, and work to develop and launch effective programs to ensure our customers’ success when a partner is engaged in a Benchling project.
This is a new function at Benchling, and we are looking for a leader who can help us create, build, execute, and evolve our partner education, certification, and enablement programs to support our evolving partner strategies and priorities. You will need to work collaboratively with multiple teams across the company to ensure we equip our partners with the right tools to make them successful. And you will work hand-in-hand with our partners and guide them to successful project delivery, inspecting and monitoring results, and ensuring consistency in partner related projects.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Collaborate closely with our Alliances and Training teams to create process, align on R&Rs and deliver enablement program strategy, standards and tools for various partner types (SIs, technology, regional, etc.)
- Create and manage the partner enablement strategy, and develop programs to ensure partners build and grow their Benchling knowledge and delivery capabilities.
- Work with the training organization to develop best practices for enablement, and develop programs for partner onboarding, as well as ongoing and continual training and certification
- Articulate how partners will leverage Benchling best practices and guide successful usage of standard templates and tools in partner projects.
- Work with the Professional Services, Training and Operations teams to understand partner knowledge gaps, and develop materials and programs to up-level partner’s knowledge.
- Develop and manage a process for implementation quality reviews, project delivery oversight and assurance, and post implementation quality metrics
- Work with product management and engineering to provide partner specific feedback and ideas on product and tooling improvements focused on partner success
- Ensure program and enablement benefits are realized by our partners, continuously improve our tools and processes to ensure customer and partner success
ABOUT YOU
- Must have experience working in the Life Sciences industry, ideally with direct experience working with Biotech R&D teams. Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry or other Life Sciences related field is highly recommended and desired.
- 5+ years of experience in Partner/Alliance enablement and working with various delivery firms (e.g. Big 4, Global SIs, boutiques and Regional SIs).
- Proven experience building and delivering partner enablement programs leveraging various learning tools and processes with proven experience leading functional and technical product enablement and/or education for a software company
- Strong understanding of business/application consulting. Must understand partner go-to-market and delivery models in the context of SaaS software delivery. Direct experience in Software Implementation is highly desired.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, able to breakdown problems and create programs that align to business goals.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders with the ability to develop and manage relationships at all levels without direct authority
- Exceptional organization and communication skills, execution oriented with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives, achieve stakeholder buy-in and drive decisions
- Self-starter, with strong work ethic, ability to create strategies and own execution details. Must have the desire and ability to build a new function from scratch in a hyper-growth startup environment.
