Head of Workplace Operations

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Head of Workplace Operations, you’re an agile problem solver who consistently demonstrates proactive strategic thinking in a high-growth environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of large-scale operations globally, ensuring and facilitating the successful delivery of a consistent service program, and all associated operating expense budgets. This role reports to the Head of IT & Workplace and is located in San Francisco, CA.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Oversight and management of our global workplace portfolio of leased multi-tenant buildings and co-working spaces globally
- Manage, mentor, and develop a geographically diverse, high-performing team of workplace services and operations professionals
- Responsible for developing service strategy and best practices across global workplace to cultivate a collaborative and an equitable environment
- Develop standards and guidelines for various programs including building management, life safety, food & beverage, sustainability, in-person & remote events, wellness/wellbeing, and physical security. Always striving to raise the bar and innovate
- Partner with senior leadership and other stakeholders at all levels and geographies throughout the company to deliver results
- Build and lead cross-functional teams including outside service provider partners
- Develop and maintain a global multi-year workplace operating expense forecast in coordination with long-term headcount and location forecast
- Experience in diagnosing pain points for teams, ushering their Workplace Experience to “good”, and then going the extra mile to ensure it is “great”
ABOUT YOU
- 10+ years progressive experience in facility operations/management within fast-paced, scaling environments. Software/technology industry experience preferred
- B.S or equivalent work experience
- Analytical rigor, drive to support decisions with data, and the ability to make data digestible to varied audiences
- Passion for empathy, clarity and communication
- Adaptive, balanced thinker with continuous improvement mindset and ability to engage teams through outstanding change management capabilities and your demonstrated history as a champion of diversity and inclusion.
- In-depth functional knowledge in facility operations and management including property/site management, building systems and employee programs including food services, sustainability, life safety, and wellness/wellbeing.
- Experience with end-to-end program and project development and execution, partner management, and demonstrable record of delivering critical solutions within tight time frames, with multiple stakeholder groups, and competing priorities, all while balancing speed and financial commitments.
