About this role
In the International Operations Lead role, you will take on a variety of strategic and operational projects to drive the international expansion of our business. Faire has built a powerful community in North America, and we look to build a major presence in Europe and APAC. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and data-driven person who is passionate about launching Faire globally. You will be an early member of the International expansion team and will be instrumental in making Faire the de-facto platform of choice for brands from all over the world to distribute their products wholesale and for independent retailers to source products for their store.
We’re looking for a relentlessly resourceful International Operations Lead who is excited about the blank canvas and enjoys turning an idea into a reality.
What you’ll do
- Work on international expansion projects across a breadth of functional areas including Operations, Finance, Accounting, Sales, and Business Development
- Develop in-depth understanding of local market nuances, identify potential blockers, come up with solutions, and execute against a plan to launch Faire internationally
- Performing ad hoc analyses and develop effective and scalable operational processes and fill operational gaps
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, business operations, or operations
- You are data-driven and have a bias towards action -- you can define Key Performance Indicators and measure progress/success for your initiatives
- You are excited about Faire’s mission and growing our footprint across the world
- You can think across multiple dimensions of a business (sales, product, marketing etc.) and work cross-functionally to deliver results
- You are a great teammate and love to deliver outstanding results while having a fun time with your teammates doing it!
- You want to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change
- You are inventive and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
- Familiarity or experience in Asia Pacific region
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Japanese language proficiency/fluency strongly preferred
