Role & Responsibilities

The IT Engineer will be a key member of the technical team responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s internal IT resources, systems and end-user satisfaction. The IT Engineer will help with automation and system integrations and also function as a help desk analyst, end-user network specialist and general business application support desk engineer. In addition, the role will be responsible for the assignment of end-user IT resources such as laptops and monitors as well as operating system imaging, maintaining security and compliance requirements and general inventory management practices across all of worldwide Ginger offices. This individual will also work closely with the engineering, product, customer success, marketing and sales teams, as well as internal and external auditors to promote IT best practices.

Essential Job Functions

  • Function as the help desk support engineer for Ginger across all regions and facilities
  • Perform SSO user management, group policies, security integrations and general maintenance across all Ginger systems
  • Manage hardware assets for new hires and staff terminations, including systems imaging, inventory management and user training
  • Perform troubleshooting, support, and upgrades including rebuilds and hardware replacement for Mac, Windows, Linux and Chromebooks
  • Manage Video Conferencing & VOIP configurations, WiFi infrastructure and 2FA setups for employees
  • Ensure consistency in user configurations and Role Based Access Control for all business applications
  • Research and development of latest IT products and services based on market and technology needs
  • Interact closely with other cyber security architects, privacy officer, engineering, and product management teams to ensure adequate security capabilities and controls are in place within the technology stack to mitigate security risks and meet the highest security requirements
  • Meet project deadlines and manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects while adhering to a time allocation model

Requirements

  • BS degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, MIS or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in IT, preferably in the Healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile secure software development lifecycle
  • Experience using cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Heroku
  • Understanding of VoIP telephony solutions and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • Attention to detail and a thorough approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to efficiently handle ambiguity and appropriately prioritize competing projects
  • Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects with a geographically distributed team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in scripting shell programming, Python, Perl and REST API integrations
  • Familiarity with one or more industry security compliance frameworks and/or regulations such as HIPAA, ISO 27001/2, and GDPR
  • ITIL or related certifications
