As an IT Network/Systems Engineer your primary focus is to create and maintain a scalable, reliable, secure and performant computing network used by an advanced silicon engineering design team. As part of the IT team you will also be helping out in other general linux system administrative tasks as required.

Minimum qualifications

• CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE network certification or equivalent practical experience
• Network design, security and operations experience in a global, multi-site environment
• Knowledge and experience with VPN technologies (platform agnostic)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and commands
• Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Go, Perl, Shell, etc.)

Preferred qualifications

• Deep understanding of network performance tuning, security and monitoring in LAN and WAN environments
• Proficiency supporting and scaling a production Linux server environment
• Experience with deploying and supporting Network Attached Storage and backup solutions
• Experience with VMware and/or Google Cloud Platform
• OS (client) support experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac OS
• Excellent communication/documentation skills and a passion for problem solving

Roles and Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in scaling network and systems infrastructure through the use of tools and automation
• Drive infrastructure changes that improve reliability, productivity, security and engineering velocity
• Support critical infrastructure and workflows used in Silicon Design
• Work with various teams (from HR to Engineering) to analyze business requirements and develop IT solutions and policy recommendations
