As a Grove IT Support Engineer, you are the front line technical support for several hundred corporate and office employees that are temporarily working from home during the pandemic. You own all things hardware and software that help facilitate Grove’s daily business operations. We rely on numerous cloud technologies to minimize our footprint, utilize automation wherever possible to minimize manual recurring activities, and practice continuous improvement techniques to build upon infrastructure and systems. 

We’re looking for action-oriented technologists who thrive in fast-paced high-growth environments, and who are looking to further develop their IT skills working with our existing nationwide team. Flexibility to support regions outside of our Corporate office, including occasional travel, is also required. This position is based in San Francisco, and is not a permanently remote position. 

Your Impact & Responsibilities

  • You’ll be part of our nationwide team tasked with building and maintaining the IT infrastructure and information systems that power Grove's day to day operations.
  • You’ll manage the entire technology stack, including apps, workstations, computers, laptops, tablets, security cameras, printers, copiers, security systems, VOIP systems, routers, switches, wireless access points, audio/video equipment, etc.
  • You’ll participate in designing, implementing and administering minimal-touch IAM and information systems with an emphasis on using cloud technologies. Common apps we use are Zoom, Lever, BambooHR, G Suite, JumpCloud, VMware Workspace ONE, Jira, Confluence, Looker, O365, etc.
  • You’ll monitor and remediate common VPN, wireless, LAN, and ISP issues using Meraki networking hardware and software.

About You

  • You’ve provided technical support for at least 4 years in a corporate environment supporting both office and remote users (emphasis on remote at the moment due to the pandemic).
  • You’re skilled working with MacOS and iOS operating systems in a secure MDM environment. Bonus points if you’re comfortable with VMware Workspace ONE or Airwatch specifically.
  • You enjoy coaching and training users how to use technology, and are skilled at creating self-serve documentation so users can solve common problems.
  • You understand the fundamentals of networking, network security, and wireless networks, and are comfortable supporting a high availability environment.
  • Huge plus if you hold a Security+ certification, and have experience in SOX compliance
