About The Role:

We’re looking for an IT Systems Administrator who tackles problems with a security mindset. You will identify performance bottlenecks, improve system observability, reduce manual tasks through automation, and ensure our core systems are designed to scale as our corporate infrastructure continues to become more complex. 

You will be a stakeholder in the design, implementation and management of our growing corporate systems and networks. You will have a passion for innovation and creative problem solving, as well as be adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of the corporate infrastructure environment. You will need to be a highly motivated, dependable and an experienced systems engineer who shares our passion and wants to be a part of a fast moving and highly execution oriented team.

You will work closely with your IT peers and key stakeholder teams, including, but not limited to, Security, Compliance, Product, Engineering and HR. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and fast learner who is looking for a supportive environment to continue to grow their IT skills and expertise. This role will report to the Director of IT.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform day to day support and administration including: installation, configuration, monitoring, documentation, and automation of network infrastructure, network security and corporate systems
  • Help build, scale and maintain system monitoring and alerting tools
  • Some travel to support new office builds and retrofits
  • Serve as a direct mentee to our Senior Network Engineer with an opportunity for growth and specialization in our network stack
  • Be the subject matter expert for on-prem infrastructure systems
  • Partner with the security team to implement security policies and ensure all critical vulnerabilities are patched in a timely manner
  • Create IT systems compliance policies and provide compliance proof for audits
  • Train and mentor members of IT support team and help with service desk requests as an escalation point

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of IT systems administrator experience
  • Networking knowledge and experience administering routers, switches and firewalls, specifically Palo Alto Networks
  • Some experience designing and building MDF/IDF infrastructure
  • Some experience with wireless network design, tuning and troubleshooting, specifically Aruba Networks
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization
  • An openness to feedback & transparency, and a desire for authentic work relationships
  • Some understanding of core infrastructure protocols - DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, SSL/TLS, RADIUS, and TCP/IP
  • Some knowledge of Linux or Windows server security and management

Bonus Points:

  • Experience collaborating with vendors and real estate teams as a technical resource for office builds and retrofits
  • Knowledge of SSH, keystores, security certificates, user and password management, Single-Sign-On integration, and authorization tokens
  • Scripting skills - Python, Bash/Zsh, Ansible, NAPALM/Netmiko, Puppet, or TerraForm
  • Affinity for Dad Jokes
