IT Systems Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to work within our team, helping to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our corp IT infrastructure and services. She/he must be equipped and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment.
Partnering with Engineering, Information Security and Helpdesk teams, the IT systems team are responsible for providing Ripple’s users with the best possible experience when using our core IT applications and systems from any of our offices around the globe and remotely.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own, manage and monitor corp IT systems and infrastructure ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Act as subject matter expert on all things IT infrastructure and automation
- Help build, scale and maintain system monitoring and alerting tools
- Partner with the security team to implement security policies and ensure all critical vulnerabilities are patched in a timely manner
- Create IT systems compliance policies and provide compliance proof for audits
- Develop and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower downtime
- Help with service desk requests as an escalation point
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5+ years of corp IT experience, with at least 2 years in systems and/or infrastructure role
- Deep knowledge of macOS, Linux, and Windows
- Knowledge of SSH, keystores, security certificates, user and password management, SSO Integration and authorization tokens
- Experience with SAAS - G-Suite, Slack, Jira, etc
- Strong networking knowledge and experience administering routers, switches and firewalls, specifically Cisco and Palo Alto Networks
- Experience with virtualization and containerization - VMware, VirtualBox, etc
- Experience with configuration management tool - Puppet, Chef and/or Munki
- Experience using REST and SOAP APIs
- Proven ability to successfully and efficiently monitor systems - Nagios, SumoLogic, etc
- Proven scripting skills - Perl, Ruby, Python, etc
