About You and The Role
We will count on you to own Zipline's outbound logistics operations, ensuring that every global team has the hardware and materials they need to do their life-saving work. Your responsibilities will include executing finished goods storage and transportation processes, coordination with logistics vendors, and addressing shipment or inventory issues. As a key member of the global logistics team, you will work closely with Zipline’s manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams and ensure on-time and efficient delivery across the company.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving functions at the facility.
- Manage dock organization and shipping supplies.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Retain and scan documentation, send communications to employees.
- Schedule pick-ups with vendors and monitor shipments in transit.
- Coordinate most cost-effective means to ship freight within expected requirements.
- Correctly labeling hazardous materials and providing DG paperwork to vendors.
- Provide all required shipping documentation (SLI, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Dangerous Goods Declarations, etc.) for export functions.
- Build and grow relationships with internal customers and vendors.
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
- Contribute to a worldwide logistics organization by standardizing processes and establishing SOPs.
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years Logistics and/or warehouse experience; preferably within an international supply chain organization
- An understanding of export rules and required documentation, with the ability to apply them to medium complexity situations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Initiative to scope, start, and drive projects and tasks to completion
- Ability to openly seek advice, guidance, and enlist support as needed
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Expert inventory management
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be eligible to work in the US
