This role is a key member of the Physical Security and Business Resilience Team focused on development and management of Zoom’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). The GSOC will serve as a trusted, virtual, centralized communication resource for protective intelligence and incident response for the safety and security of Zoom’s people, assets, and operations worldwide. We are looking for an innovative, dynamic and talented GSOC Manager that can match Zoom’s accelerated pace and maximize readiness. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of building effective intelligence-driven physical GSOC programs that support global business, is technically savvy and embraces the challenge of working in a continuously changing environment. The GSOC Manager will report directly to the Physical Security Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement situational awareness, monitoring and response processes, procedures, and best practices to lead a highly functional GSOC
Utilize best-in-class technologies to monitor, evaluate, and mitigate real time risks to ensure global situational awareness of natural and man-made events that may impact Zoom
Build a world class team of GSOC operators and analysts and ensure the team is proficient, cohesive and highly responsive to Zoom priorities
Maintain and enhance situational awareness, critical incident response, incident notification, escalation, internal communications, and all associated documentation
Oversee the management of emergency and non-emergency security systems monitoring (access control alarms, video surveillance equipment, fire/life safety systems), and dispatching resources to investigate any anomalous activity with security personnel or other departments, as appropriate
Prioritize and process incoming security reports and requests and track associated shift activity
Establish and monitor performance metrics to track the effectiveness of program and personnel
Where warranted, conduct an assessment and account for our employees, assets in emergency situations and escalate to critical incident responders or incident management teams
Coordinate incident response logistics, provide direction and response to personnel
Disseminate timely mass notifications and situational reports in coordination with Incident Commanders
Perform additional duties assigned by Physical Security, Business Resilience, or Information Security
Provide briefings to internal audiences and customers on GSOC capabilities
Drive process refinement, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and maintain internal stakeholder relationships.
Identity and select appropriate equipment, software solutions, and vendors to support the GSOC
Understand end-user requirements and successfully translate the impact of events in business terms
Continually assess programs to ensure the needs of the business and leadership priorities are met
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
At least 8-10 years of experience in security, military, law enforcement operations
Work independently to implement and maintain security directives
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
High level of working knowledge of security technologies, IT and Physical Security Operations, tools, and integrations
Experience with building relationships across intelligence, technology, and executive stakeholders
Develop and lead other professionals within the area of specialization
Work on problems that are broad in scope and perform analysis of data to facilitate decision making.
Familiarity with risk analysis, physical security, protective intelligence, surveillance detection, incident tracking, protection of sensitive and proprietary information, crisis management, and business continuity during executive travel and major events
Prepare and regularly update process documents, professional reports, and develop and deliver security-related training and educations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Eligible for U.S. National Security Clearance
