Manager, IT Audiovisual
We're looking for a manager to join our team and help lead our IT AV team! This team is responsible for supporting a large deployment of video conferencing and high quality streaming while facing some interesting challenges that come along with the work Cruise is doing. Our mission is to ensure that our fellow Cruisers have the best audio visual experience to help them do their best work.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for growing and developing a team
- Work with team leads to set the technical direction for the team, and anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges
- Provide lead design for small, medium and large multi-use conference spaces for best in class audio & visual presentations and events
- Lead the team to make end-user focused improvements to increase efficiency around the most common requests/incidents
- Follow security best practices and work with our security team to implement policies
- Manage large projects with multiple dependencies and production timeline implications
- Own projects from requirements gathering to completion
- Participate in on-boarding, training and mentoring team members.
- Build and scale the AV offering at Cruise, including new capabilities and new locations
Requirements
- 6+ years in a hands-on technical environment providing Audio Visual and Streaming support
- 3+ years managing a team
- Working knowledge of networking principles and protocols
- Experience supporting a large deployment of video conferencing equipment
- Experience managing a team of AV Technicians (Google Meet experience preferred)
- The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, handle and complete multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Empathy for end users, passion for frictionless user experiences, and a pulse for the future of Video Conferencing
- Genuine passion for AV solutions with an unbounded desire to learn.
- For this role, you'll need to be highly collaborative and customer support focused.
