What we are looking for:

• Highly analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail
• Experience implementing and operationalizing revenue systems and reporting
• Desire to continually improve existing processes providing improved visibility to the business

• Strong technical accounting background with an ability to eloquently communicate key accounting principles to business partners

Responsibilities of the role:

• Own the monthly revenue close process, including creating revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and segment reporting
• Implement and maintain revenue systems and work cross-functionally to ensure data is accurate and audit ready
• Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders, including FP&A, Engineering, Data & Insights, and outside accounting firms to improve revenue related processes and reporting capabilities
• Maintain and update our ASC 606/IFRS 15 memorandum as the business explores new revenue channels; educating business partners on the impact of business initiatives on financial performance
• Establish, maintain, and improve revenue/cost-of-revenue related processes and controls
• Understand internal and external revenue reporting requirements and optimize financial systems to provide improved visibility
• Track key financial performance indicators as it relates to revenue and explore strategic solutions to optimize
• Support with external audit requirements
• Support the team on ad-hoc projects and analysis

Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or above Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA, Big 4 experience with advisory role highly desired
• 5+ years of progressive experience in technical revenue and/or revenue accounting
• Experience in revenue recognition standard (ASC 606) is a must
• Experienced in writing complex technical accounting position papers
• Proficient with MS Excel, SQL knowledge a plus.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross functional organizations.
• NetSuite, Zuora, and Salesforce or similar large application experience a plus
