General Purpose:

Supply Chain Planning Managers are responsible for all activities related to supply management from forecast to delivery including day-to-day communication and management of suppliers and partners, as it relates to supply planning and order fulfillment.  Additionally, responsible for providing guidance and leadership to supply planning team.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Drive process improvements by determining gaps or inefficiencies in current process, work within team and cross functionally if needed to gain alignment and implement
  • Regularly measure and understand supply chain health and function to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, lower costs or reduce risks
  • Train and develop Supply Planning team, both new and existing Planners
  • Identify demand and capacity imbalances and agree on a plan with the business via the S&OP process further working with planners to execute
  • Participate in New Product Launch teams, ensure new products are launch on-time and on-budget
  • Back up support for Supply Planning team as needed
  • Act as the primary liaison between the planning team and management to communicate issues and collaborate on resolutions
  • Be responsible for report generation and distribution
  • Represent the planning organization in internal business unit team meetings
  • Review supply chain performance weekly through 1on1 meetings and broader metrics reviews to maintain focus on achieving goals

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business or other applicable field of study or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive supply chain planning/analytics experience
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP (Oracle EBS) and advanced SCM systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Candidate needs to have strategic mindset and demonstrated ability to influence others to drive team enhancements
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, able to effectively communicate with both peers and executives
