 About the Team

Caviar for Companies (now part of DoorDash) is changing the way businesses and employees order food from restaurants. We believe that everyone should have access to the best eateries in their city without any hassles. Every day our Catering Captains pick up supplies from our Local Hubs, then pick up food from restaurant partners and deliver catered meals to thousands of diners at some of the world’s hottest startups and well-known companies.

We're looking for someone to lead our established Hub teams as we plan to plan to grow to new regions. You will lead a team of operators who manage the local, on-the-ground operations of our catering business – from distributing inventory, to managing captain performance, to solving issues in the field for our clients. You will report directly to the National Operations Lead, who will look to you as an expert and partner to ensure we implement our operations plans to meet the needs of our markets and reliably grow the business as we launch new markets.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Build and lead our regional and local operations teams to tackle strategic and operational challenges in a growing part of the DoorDash business 
  • Be the voice for our catering captains, promoting team culture and development
  • Optimize the team and operations for scale including managing team structure and developing process improvements, while maintaining efficiency goals, and cost metrics. 
  • Work with partners in operations, product, sales, post-sales, and finance to develop and implement strategies that support priorities across the business 
  • Present insights to senior management and other partners to guide strategic decision-making
  • Implement legal, compliance, real estate and facilities or people-related needs across our markets

We’re excited about you because you have…

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in operations with demonstrated experience of a data-driven outlook. 2 years of managerial experience preferred
  • Background and expertise working in a marketplace or nationalized business
  • High social and emotional intelligence - you truly enjoy mentoring team members and promoting strong relationships with all types of people
  • You can operate at a strategic level, but enjoy and getting into the details of tactical operations issues when needed
  • Bonus - experience working in high-growth environments and helping organizations scale
  • Bonus - experience with hourly, part-time labor workforce
