Operations Manager, Card Operations
About the role
Every Chime member receives a Chime card, and as we grow, delivering cards to Members in a timely, efficient and delightful manner becomes more complex. This role will help manage and shape that experience for our Members as the Partner Operations team and Chime continue to grow.
As an Operations Manager focusing on Card Operations, you will serve as a liaison between our network of third-party vendors and several internal teams. Below are some examples of projects you will contribute to:
- Work with the Product team to ensure the seamless launch of new card programs such as promotional metal cards
- Launch new card fulfillment partners and additional fulfillment locations
- Coordinate with the Design team to execute a card packet redesign, balancing design goals with vendors' technical constraints and cost considerations.
- Partner with Finance to forecast card orders and subsequently manage inventory levels.
- Improve the Member Experience by investigating specific Member issues surfaced through our support teams and Voice of the Member Program.
You’ll be expected to develop into a Card Operations domain expert, ultimately becoming a valuable internal resource at Chime.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our card fulfillment partners.
- Benchmark fulfillment partner performance against our existing SLAs.
- Continually push to improve and redefine partner performance standards and refresh SLAs.
- Iterate, refine and deliver our card fulfillment forecasts and inventory models.
- Be ready to respond to urgent issues related to our daily fulfillment operations and coordinate solutions with our internal teams.
- Serve as a source of truth resource for our internal teams regarding all things card operations and fulfillment.
- Manage and deliver periodic updates on inventory status across each of our card products and fulfillment partners.
- Deliver customer experience insights to our product, support and ops teams.
To thrive in this role, you have
- A passion for delivering the best member experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in financial services, supply chain management, or manufacturing
- Project management experience with a track record of multi-tasking and coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated the ability to influence and foster deep positive relationships with external partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
- The ability to operate under pressure and find creative, practical solutions to problems; a bias toward thinking outside the conventional approach.
- Comfortability with change and ambiguity.
- A desire to join a mission-driven organization and help the continued growth of our team.
- Experience with SQL and Looker (preferred)
