Part-Time Receptionist

We created LightStep because we understand the massive architectural transformation underway in the software industry, and we saw an opportunity to accelerate it, all while improving the quality of the developer and end-user experience. While we learned a great deal from our experiences building Dapper (Google’s distributed tracing solution) and Monarch (Google’s high-availability metrics solution), LightStep is in many ways a reaction to and a generational improvement beyond those approaches. We're looking for a receptionist who will help showcase our warm, welcoming culture to new hires, interviewees, and other visitors alike! This is a part-time role with some flexibility in scheduling.
What you’ll do:
- Primarily greeting guests at reception, managing check-in and visitor procedures, helping everyone feel welcome and comfortable
- Assist with day-to-day operations: vendors, tidiness of office, incoming/outgoing mail, food/snacks, restocking office supplies.
- Manage building key cards
- Ordering and managing business cards
- Assisting with office events and programming
- Ad hoc projects as needed
You’d be a great fit if…
- You’re driven by processes and helping things run smoothly and quickly
- You have regular availability on Tuesday mornings (total available hours 10-20 hours/week)
- You are a thoughtful, reliable communicator, and enjoy working with a small team
- You've worked with Google Drive, Slack, and Zoom
Bonus points if…
- You have prior experience working on events, hospitality or customer service roles
- You've assisted in transitioning office spaces
- You have flexible availability during 9-5 business hours
