Payments Platform Lead
Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Starting in 2022, teams will meet in person every quarter in one of Grammarly’s hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of their direct team.
Grammarly team members who will be collaborating at our San Francisco hub must be based in the United States.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Payments Platform Product Lead to head up Grammarly’s Payments Platform, which powers billing, subscription management, and payment processing for Grammarly’s product offering portfolio.
The person in this critical leadership role will define Grammarly’s billing and subscriptions strategy and roadmap across our product offerings for millions of users worldwide. They will execute that strategy by improving and shipping new payment experiences and capabilities in collaboration with Engineering, Design, Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams and other cross-functional stakeholders.
The Payments Platform Product Lead will maximize Grammarly’s market opportunity by ensuring we provide a consistent, high-quality, frictionless subscription management experience to our customers.
Your impact
As Payments Platform Product Lead, you will help fuel Grammarly’s growth by directing the strategy for payments across a growing product portfolio, as the company introduces new pricing models, new payment methods, adds new types of customers, and continues to expand globally.
In this role, you will:
- Scale an already massive SaaS subscription and payments service globally.
- Extend Grammarly’s payments capabilities to support new product offerings, pricing plans, and business models.
- Build the data collection and reporting capabilities necessary to effectively operate a rapidly maturing, high-growth business.
- Become an expert in Grammarly’s users, revenue projection model, pricing plans, and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with product leadership to identify the payments platform requirements necessary to execute Grammarly’s product strategy.
- Create the product strategy and vision for payments at Grammarly.
- Develop a hiring plan for our product organization and hire product managers for your team.
- Own product roadmaps and update them regularly with key hypotheses and milestones, determining the Product and Engineering teams need to support these roadmaps.
- Establish relationships with senior collaborators in the company, including Engineering, Marketing, Product, Data, and Design teams.
