About the Role:
As the Professional Services Portfolio Manager, you will play a lead role in prioritizing and managing high impact projects for the Professional Services organization. This position enables you to collaborate with members from all other functional teams in the company, acquire first-hand knowledge and experience of those teams' processes and workflows, and lead cross-functional project teams to complete high impact projects. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Program Manager who has experience establishing best practices from the ground up and educating business partners on meeting the highest levels of efficiency and adherence. In addition to managing the Professional Services project portfolio, you will communicate project status and timelines with internal and external stakeholders, and determine project profitability.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the entire Professional Services project portfolio. Prioritize projects for the team, create and manage project plans, communicate project status and timelines with internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather lessons learned and incorporate them into the Professional Services engagement model. Owns the Project Engagement Model and manages its collateral in our team repository.
- Collaborate with others on the PS leadership team to balance new PS solution development with on-going operations and customer projects in order to drive growth for the PS organization.
- Monitor the profitability of projects and provides recommendations on how to improve profitability. Create a cost baseline for new Professional Services solutions.
- Mentor project managers in balancing scope, cost, schedule and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years experience managing a portfolio of projects and programs totaling $1M in annual revenue
- Prior experience managing multiple projects in a global organization
- Prior experience managing projects in a professional services or engineering organization
- Experience with DevOps and/or Agile project management
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, conflict resolution, consulting and advising, as well as flawless written communication
- Ability to plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct and evaluate the work of others
- Ability to provide leadership and influence others
- PMP certification or the equivalent
