- Oversee the reception area of Discord HQ. Welcome employees, guests, and vendors while providing a warm and friendly experience
- Keep the reception area tidy and organized
- Provide a professional customer service experience to Discord employees and visitors
- Accept incoming mail and packages
- Team up with the Discord security team to report any suspicious activity and keep the reception area safe and secure
- Enforce Discord's NDA and visitor badge policy, and informing staff their guests have arrived
- Ensure employees, visitors, and vendors follow Discord's health and safety guidelines
- Answer questions about the office and Discord for visitors
- Prepare the Discord office for reopening in August
- Supporting the implementation of Discord's Covid-19 Safety Protocols, including: ensuring employees, visitors, and vendors are wearing face masks, social distancing guidelines are being followed, high touch reception area fixtures are sanitized
- Help set appointments and calendar invitations for the Workplace team. Work with Administrative and Recruiting teams to manage the Discord visitor calendar
- Fulfill Employee Desk Fund requests by responding to related Zendesk tickets and ordering employee's gift card of choice
- Schedule employee ergonomic assessments
- Keep Workplace team documentation up-to-date in Slab
- Provide support to other Workplace team members when needed
- 1+ year's experience working in a reception, retail, office, hotel, or similar environment
- Proficient in Google suite
- Belief that customer service is a noble calling
- Great listening skills. You will need to practice active listening for both visitors and Discord employees
- The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Empathy and a problem solving mindset
- Experience working in a hyper-growth environment
- Experience overseeing a reception area
- Experience using current office technologies
