Renewals Manager
Location:  San Francisco Bay Area or Vancouver Metro

The Renewals Manager role is an integral part of Productboard's success to ensure our customers continue to see the value and benefit from their investment. Your primary focus will be managing customer renewals to maximize retention, identify expansion opportunities, and drive a high degree of customer satisfaction. This role works closely with our Customer Success Coaches and reports directly to the Senior Manager of Scaled Customer Success.

On a typical day, you will … 

  • Own and execute a book of business of SMB renewals to maximize retention and growth
  • Actively engage with key decision-makers to identify customer requirements and uncover roadblocks to ensure on-time commitments
  • Use data to craft a value story to communicate how Productboard is impacting our customer’s business
  • Identify at-risk customers and develop prescriptive plays that would mitigate against this potential churn
  • Communicate risk clearly and take the lead in developing resolution strategies, leading negotiation with the customer and escalating wherever appropriate
  • Discover and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities upon contract renewal to maximize customer growth, working collaboratively with your Account Executive in the process
  • Maintain and report an accurate rolling 90-day forecast of renewals
  • Assist with enhancing and improving systems and processes to increase efficiencies

About you:

  • 2-4 years of experience in SaaS renewals management/ sales
  • Experience with mid-market/SMB renewals is a plus
  • A “value 1st” approach to working with customers to craft a clear value centered narrative about how Productboard is helping their business
  • Experience in discovery, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to connect the dots organizationally and influence stakeholders from various roles, levels, and profiles to drive collaboration and program excellence
  • Demonstrable success in thinking strategically, executing tactically while providing consistent and high levels of customer satisfaction and retention in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Salesforce
