About this role
Faire is revolutionizing wholesale and helping local retailers and their suppliers succeed in a technology-enabled era. As the first member of our Equity team, you will play an integral role in laying the foundation of equity for a multi-billion dollar company. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment.
What you’ll do
- Manage the Company’s equity-based program
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Legal, and People teams to ensure all equity transactions are processed and appropriate tax and regulatory filings are accurate and timely
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns related to equity
- Process, manage and track new grant issuance, shares outstanding, and the overall share pool
- Perform month end closing procedures and assist with public reporting according to US GAAP and assist with external audits
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation of records between equity database and general ledger
- Develop and deliver equity-related education materials and other employee communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Law or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in stock administration. CEP certification highly preferred
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal partners
- Deep knowledge of global equity comprehensive understanding of legal and tax compliance requirements in US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, and Brazil
- Experience scaling equity at fast growing company in both private and public sector
- Strong analytical skills; experience with Carta or equivalent preferred
- A team player and commitment to deliver outstanding results while having a fun time with your teammates doing it!
