About the role:

We're seeking a GTM Sales Strategy and Operations Manager that will work directly with key stakeholders across the company on critical strategic, organizational and operational projects related to our Sales organization. The efforts should be designed to help accelerate growth and strengthen go-to-market operations across our business. The person will collaborate with leaders in sales, operations, product, marketing, legal and finance to bring a data-driven mindset towards implementing our sales strategy by creating business models, improving pricing processes, optimizing sales forecasting and execution, and helping structure strategic deals.

Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in the strategic planning process by advising on how to maximize and target our addressable market as well as where we should invest
  • Partner with Sales on operational and analytical requests intended to capitalize on business opportunities, and execute on strategic initiatives to drive pipeline growth
  • Partner with our Demand Gen team to drive metrics associated with marketing-generated and marketing-influenced pipeline
  • Optimize our forecasting process and bring insights in our pipeline to Sales leadership
  • Identify and size potential programs and initiatives designed to accelerate our growth, drive partner strategy, and streamline go-to-market execution
  • Establish strong working relationships with sales leadership, operations, product, marketing, FP&A and other cross-functional teams to achieve objectives

In your first 30 days:

  • Understand Grand Rounds as a company, our product set, competitive landscape and key internal stakeholders
  • Get to know the numbers: gain deep knowledge of our key business metrics and performance indicators, the data underlying them, and how these critical pieces are constructed
  • Understand and assess our current go-to-market strategy including pricing and packaging
  • Work within our data and systems, particularly Salesforce, to understand how data is captured and used

In your first 60 days:

  • Build dynamic models to translate business data and metrics into actionable strategies for driving growth
  • Recommend high priority strategies, programs and initiatives that will drive bookings and revenue in a profitable way
  • Develop relationships across the business to drive cross-functional initiatives

In your first 90 days:

  • Develop thoughts and project plans to bring operational efficiencies to the Sales workflows with an eye towards automation
  • Develop and own long term strategic programs roadmap designed to increase revenue, sales productivity and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of Sales Operations, Business Operations, and/or Finance experience
  • Professional experience in modeling, data analysis, and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
  • Proactive and relentless: independently capable of seeking information in an unstructured environment, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.
  • Strong analytical skills: Experience solving real world business problems using advanced Excel modeling and relational databases; scenario and forecast modeling
  • Strong project management skills: Ability to work across teams and lay the groundwork for sound foundational processes
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce and ability to self-serve data
