Senior Internal Tooling and Reporting Specialist
About the role
As an Internal Tooling & Reporting Specialist at Chime, youâll be joining our fast-growing Compliance Operations team by contributing to the scaling of new products and processes for Chimeâs credit and debit programs. You will be expected to âchime in,â exercise innovative thinking, and participate in collaborative decision making. Youâll immerse yourself by learning current Compliance Operations processes and identifying tooling & reporting needs, as well as how Compliance Operations executes applicable laws and regulations. Youâll learn Chimeâs current and upcoming products and features, support new pilots, and develop operational processes and documentation. Youâll provide support & guidance to outsourced workforce teams. Youâll work closely with internal and external risk, legal, fraud, analytics, and member services teams. Youâll possess strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills; are highly analytical, resourceful, member-focused, and team-oriented with clear communication skills. You are comfortable working autonomously and have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment. You understand how to synthesize data for KPI and KRI tracking and reporting up to leadership and showcase deep insights for operations managers.
In this role, you can expect to
- Partner with Compliance Operations team members and other stakeholders to gain a rich understanding of Compliance Operations processes (e.g., AML, Sanctions, CCPA, FCRA), as well as the associated analytical and reporting needs and gaps
- Drive tooling and reporting needs for multiple projects, including requirements gathering, planning, development, implementation, stakeholder management, and on-going support
- Process design or redesign strategies to ensure the correct execution of tasks, as well as provide support to ensure operational efficiency, effectiveness, and qualityÂ
- Partner with the analytics team and build dashboard solutions that help the Compliance Operations team manage operations, solve day to day problems, and understand key performance metrics and trends
- Assist in the development of the compliance operations processes to support new Chime products, features, regulations, or pilots, as well as draft procedural documentation
- Partner with internal cross-functional partners such as Fraud, Member Services and Legal teams, as necessary
- Build reporting capabilities and use reporting metrics to identify and execute process improvements
- Manage the relationship between Chime XFN teams and tooling vendors as needed
- Stay up to date with Chimeâs current and upcoming products and features, and applicable laws and regulations.
To thrive in this role, you have
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience required in tooling and reporting related role, preferably supporting compliance, risk management, financial services, process improvement, or continuous improvement role
- The ability to work with ambiguity and are able to handle multiple priorities and projects
- Demonstrated ability to learn tools, processes and effectively implement operational optimizationsÂ
- Demonstrated ability building operations dashboards and supporting new tooling implementation
- Excellent communication skills, a record of working cross-functionally to achieve results
- The skill of being self-motivated with the ability to prioritize in demanding situations and meet deadlines
- Strong analytics, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- The ability to draft detailed procedural documentation, flow charts, and training materials
- Prior tooling experience:Â Zendesk Admin, Case Management Systems (e.g., xx), Customer Screening Tools (e.g., CLEAR, Socure), Reporting Tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker), Google Office (e.g., Sheets, Slides)
