We manage safety and security risk and deliver value across the business through agility, technology, and a people-first approach. About the Role

DoorDash is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead Global Safety and Security Operations. Based at our HQ, you will work closely with the Global Safety and Security leadership team to build and manage an integrated and fused Global Operations Center that drives tiered customer service through multi-channel support, system monitoring, risk alerting, intelligence production, incident and emergency management, investigations, traveler and asset tracking, knowledge management, operations security, and insider risk management. You will work closely with the Workplace Services, Trust and Safety, Support, and Human Resources teams, as well as Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional partners. This role will directly contribute to shaping industry-leading Global Safety and Security programs, and requires exceptional communication skills, very strong leadership, excellent time management, complex project management experience, and unrivaled drive and bias for action.

• Manage an operations team that maintains global situational awareness around-the-clock and develops operational environment understanding for the business
• Help design and manage the multi-phase construction of a Global Operations Center

• Manage Global Safety and Security electronic, cellular, and satellite communications
• Be responsible for system monitoring and event management
• Work with dashboards and generate operational reports and analysis

• Partner with Security Technology Operations and Health and Safety Operations
• Develop structure and standardize programs across Global Safety and Security
• Maintain vendor relationships and manage budgets and purchases
• Work with law enforcement at the local, state, and federal levels

• You have 10+ years of management experience in related roles
• You have significant experience with operational planning and execution
• You have a deep understanding of security risks across global operating environments
• You have extensive international travel experience
• You have significant experience with intelligence processes
• You have led or been the principal customer of an intelligence watch
• You have experience with operations security programs
• You have investigations experience and understand evidentiary standards
• You have exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate and influence team members and cross-functional partners positively
• You are driven with a strong bias for action and have demonstrated experience setting and achieving aggressive performance objectives with cross-functional dependencies
• You are familiar with access control and video surveillance systems
• You are outcome-focused and able to set time-bound and measurable targets
• You are resilient and able to adapt to dynamic and fast-paced project demands
• You take radical ownership of your work and performance and can effectively give and receive performance feedback
• You can distill intricate details into information able to be consumed at all levels of business
• You thrive in fast-paced, demanding environments where you are often managing multiple priorities and forced to make decisions with limited information
• You have excellent critical thinking skills and obsess over details
• You have exceptional written and oral communication skills
• You are a G Suite and Slack power user and are comfortable working on macOS
• You can travel as required and can work independently and as part of a team
