Overview

The Senior Manager of Logistics will drive and enable Tonal business through best-in-class global supply chain trade and logistics processes. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive strategic solutions to bring speed, reliability, efficiency, and scalability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will lead key operational programs in support of global logistical strategies working with Tonal’s global supply chain, manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (e.g. New Product Introductions, Fulfillment, Accounting, etc.). This position will also be responsible for driving continuous improvements on system integrations, cross-functional team collaborations to improve over-all processes in procure-to-pay, and order-to-cash efficiency.

What You Will Do

Day-to-day Operations Management: 

- Establish and execute to Procure-to-Pay process operations. Perform Purchase Order receipt, transactions into NetSuite, monitor inbound arrival to DCs, and perform inventory transfer

- Capture relevant shipping information from vendor/carriers for inbound and outbound movements. Update and communicate to key stakeholders

- Identify and proactively address operational exceptions that require immediate attention or corrective actions

- Back up the operations manager to generate inventory reporting, audit and exception information for the product movement in/out of 3PL DCs

- Audit and approve freight invoices and report to monthly and quarterly close

- Track and publish carrier performance vs. expectations

- Support NPI material and prototype movement; arrange transportation and logistics to/from CM and Tonal NPI/engineering team

Cross-Functional Collaboration / Program Management: 

- Work as a PM to roll out system integration projects, identifying integration requirements, and work with the integration team during all stages of requirement, development, testing, and implementation

- Collaborate, align with, and support cross-functional owners and experts (Procurement, Planning, Customer Care, Order Management, Finance, Accounting, etc.) to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement

- Lead and conduct cross-functional Logistics and Fulfillment projects and bringing into execution

Vendor Engagement: 

- Conduct RFQ/RFP for logistics vendor bidding, selection, and on boarding process

- Manage logistics supplier selection and execution of high-quality, cost-effective vendor performances

- Ensure service agreements are met; conduct Quarter Business Reviews through measures on KPIs identified

Who You Are

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or equivalent; MS preferred

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project, program, process and data management in Logistics Operations Management

- Experience in international logistics (customs regimes, import/export, tax, international banking issues, and contractual implications)

- Experience working with international freight forwarders

- Experience working with large parcel carriers (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)

- Extensive experience in Logistics systems including; Transportation Management systems, Weights and Dimensions management, freight rates management, Track & Trace and Enterprise systems, familiar with Warehouse management systems

- Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills

- Proven track record of leading strategic programs combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks

- Proven experience as a change agent having effectively implemented changes in cross-functional organization

- Proven experience working effectively in a matrixed, global organization

- Knowledge of industry best practices, third-party providers, and technologies

- Experience working on projects for teams based outside the US

- Basic knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and classification experience 

- Awareness and appreciation of different cultures; diplomatic

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented; ability to handle multiple tactical and strategic assignments

- Strong proficiency required in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel & Word) & Google Docs

- Experience with Oracle/NetSuite ERP systems, Visio, MS Project, and Tableau preferred

- Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally with short notices
