We’re looking for a Senior Manager to help scale the next big bet for our core consumer business: DoorDash Pick Up.

DoorDash Pick Up is our newest business vertical at DoorDash. We are building the capability to enable our customers to order online, pick up in store and enable merchants to generate incremental foot traffic. 

Pick Up needs to be a delightful for both our customers and merchants. Scaling this business means getting involved in every part of DoorDash’s business - from merchant relationships to in-store operations. We are looking for builders who are excited to join a lean and nimble team in building DoorDash’s next customer business!

What You’ll Do

• Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for DoorDash Pick Up to best serve our customers.
• Build. You’ll help grow a new business online, and aren’t afraid to roll-up your sleeves to do what it takes to delight our customers and merchants.
• Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data. 
• Lead and collaborate. You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including engineering, product, design, operations, finance, and marketing to build this new vertical for DoorDash.

About You

• You are a builder and solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
• You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team
• You’re unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments
• You’re analytical. You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL or modeling in Excel.
• You are empathetic – you care about every user’s experience; you look beyond the numbers to see real people seeking to meet their needs.
• You have 7+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performance cultures (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience), and you’ve led teams to achieve audacious goals.

• You have experience starting or scaling a successful startup.
• You have a demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
• You have experience building and managing a team.
