We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Supply Chain and Materials Logistics who will provide strategic direction across procurement, standard costing, sourcing, value analysis, contracts, logistics, and inventory. You will be responsible for managing all crucial aspects of supply chain processes and finding innovative solutions to supply chain issues. The position requires an interest in current market dynamics, negotiation and pricing, manufacturing processes, and risk mitigation. We are looking for an experienced candidate who is interested in joining and helping the Vicarious team grow successfully.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies, while recommending product innovations based on improving technology;
  • Manage and oversee all procurement, demand planning, inbound logistics, receiving, warehouse and inventory management personnel and process requirements;
  • Define organizational structure and resources required to facilitate company expansion;
  • Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking;
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, reverse logistics and market intelligence and apply this knowledge to influence future roadmap and sourcing decisions;
  • Define, manage and report on supply chain and inventory KPI’s;
  • Work closely with R&D, operations and performance engineering to define AVL (Approved Vendor List) and develop and maintain relationships with core suppliers;
  • Work with Finance, R&D, and operations to improve productivity, efficiency and product landed costs while securing high quality material;
  • Implement, organize and modernize inventory receiving, stocking, and cycle counting processes and systems;
  • Implement ERP and integration of PLM database with a new ERP system

What you have

  • 10+ years in electronics, electro-mechanical and sheet metal supply chain management including building supply chain organizations from the ground up;
  • 10+ years of receiving, inventory and warehouse management;
  • Expertise in ERP, MRP, digital supply chain, productivity and collaboration tools;
  • Extensive experience establishing processes and system infrastructure;
  • Multi-million dollar purchasing agreement negotiation experience;
  • Proven understanding the tradeoffs between cost, volume and quality in order to secure long term supply;
  • Experience managing global supply chain disruptions in real time;
  • Polished presentation skills when talking to diverse and varied groups including employees, suppliers, investors and partners;
  • Strong communication skills
