Senior Network Engineer
Sr. Network EngineerThis role will be defining the architecture, deployment, and operations of our network infrastructure. You will work closely with Site Reliability, Systems, IT and other engineering teams to ensure that our production, cloud, and corporate networks are highly-available, scalable and secure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain 24/7/365 operations of our datacenter and cloud networks
- Develop monitoring, tooling, and network management strategy
- Develop configuration management capabilities and documentation practices
- Implement fault-tolerance throughout the infrastructure
- Integrate datacenter network with AWS VPC
- Provision new circuits for Internet and/or site-to-site connectivity
- Act as point of escalation for network related support cases
- Train and mentor peers to develop technical resources as necessary
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in an enterprise environment
- Experience managing datacenter deployments
- Demonstrated expertise with LAN/WAN architecture and implementation
- Comprehensive hands-on experience with Cisco/Arista/Palo Alto/Meraki devices
- Expertise designing routing topologies using advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Strong working knowledge of wireless LAN technologies
- Proficiency with public key infrastructure (PKI) and certificate authority (CA).
- Advanced knowledge of network security best practices
- Advanced knowledge of cloud provider networking (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with high volume, fault tolerant networks
- Experience with shell scripting and automation tools
- Experience deploying and administering network management and monitoring tools
- CCNA, CCNP, and/or other relevant certifications are a big plus
Desirable Skills:
- Systems engineering/administration. Proficiency with Linux Operating System.
- Knowledge of modern datacenter equipment (servers, storage, cabling)
- Coding/scripting in Python is highly desirable
- Information Security experience and relevant certifications are a big plus
- Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible are desirable
