Grail is looking for a Site Reliability - System Administrator to manage and improve the infrastructure that software engineers rely on across all stages of our product development cycle. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software Engineering, IT, Clinical and Lab Operations, and Data Science to improve software development productivity and safety with new tools, automation systems, and security strategies. You will be in a position to empower the engineering team with the platforms they need as we work towards detecting cancer!
Responsibilities
> - Provide support for Grail’s SFTP site running on AWS.
> - Setup and facilitate new clients on Grail’s platform.
> - Provide assistance with troubleshooting data exchange-related issues.
> - Suggest improvements to our data exchange environment to increase our availability and reduce our failure rate.
> - Ensure all transfers maintain proper levels of security by enabling secure protocols and encryption end to end.
> - Contribute to project work, including upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.
> - Consult with clients on new or changes to existing transfers.
> - Ability to think outside the box, take initiative, facilitate and collaborate effectively with IT & business teams.
> - Maintain compliance to avoid risks of outages or compromised data
> - Communicate ideas and information effectively via oral and written communication to diverse audiences
> - Supporting multiple operational and infrastructure related projects
Minimum Qualifications:
> - College degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience
> - Strong knowledge of networking protocols including and not limited to: TCP/IP, DHCP, SMTP, FTP, SFTP, SSH, RDP, Telnet, OSPF, VLANs, Wi-Fi.
Linux: CentOS, Ubuntu
> - Investigates, troubleshoots, and documents any changes performed on network infrastructure.
> - Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written reference and/or conveying information.
Preferred Qualifications:
> - Scripting languages for systems management: Bash, Python
Single Sign-on SAML, OAuth2 & OpenID
> - Knowledge & Certifications of Amazon Web Services
Terraform
> - Understanding of RDBMS technologies: PostgreSQL/MySQL
