The Team
The Solutions Engineer is an integral part of the Technology Operations Team engaged in understanding client business requirements and creating comprehensive functional demonstrations. This person is responsible for providing specific product and technical knowledge, advice, and solutions to Sales Representatives and customers for new customer deployments, expansion projects, and internal initiatives. This person works with multiple teams internally, such as sales, customer success, engineering, and the product organization, and acts as a presale trusted advisor to internal sales and customer success teams as well as clients or prospects.
In particular, this role requires a "Technologist" mindset and comfort with the technical side of the house, working intimately with various scripts and tools across a spectrum of polish and completeness.
Your Position:

• Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to design and implement creative solutions, enabling the growth of our clients
• Work with the Product Engineering team to improve various front end tools and backend scripts used to configure, maintain, and modify the environments
• Take part in peer code review processes
• Become a contributor to various technology communities and meetups
• Support our customers, coaches and internal teams as the escalation point for resolving Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues

Your Experience:

• Comfortable with several database technologies such as SQL, RDBMS & NoSQL
• Familiarity with programming concepts. Server-side programming skills with a modern language, preferably Ruby on Rails - Python, Java, or C# are a plus but not required.
• Experience working on the Linux command line preferred
• A degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, a related STEM field, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience working with and configuring web-based software/platforms
• Experience working cross-functionally within a small fast-moving startup
• Ability to discuss problems with customers and derive a workable solution to their business needs
• Ability to think on your feet with quick problem-solving skills sometimes during a live demo
• Possesses a professional services mindset
• A curious self-driven self-starter
