About the Role:  

The Planet Orbit Partner Ecosystem is a key part of Planet’s growth and a critical component to delivering market solutions and customer value. Reporting to the VP of Channels, the Sr. Manager, Partnership Programs is responsible for developing and managing programs that support our global partner strategy and ecosystem, with a focus on driving partner efficiency, and process automation and scale to extend Planet’s reach to connect with customers in new markets and geographies.


The ideal candidate has a strategic mindset, and is experienced in organizing programs to support the strategic direction of the organization across  partner enablement, sales and marketing functions. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically to solve  business challenges, excel in a high-growth and constantly evolving environment, and have the natural ability to balance multiple projects and priorities . You have a passion for solving complex business challenges, and thrive on constantly improving our customer and partner experience.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Work with Channel leadership and cross functional teams on the design, development, and ongoing enhancements to the channel program.
  • Drive development and ongoing measurement of partner performance, and impact of the Planet Orbit Ecosystem on the adoption of Planet products and services.
  • Help design, develop, and distribute channel program analytics, reporting, and dashboards
  • Monitor, manage, and report on key channel program initiatives and metrics.
  • Provide ongoing program governance through process enhancements and consistent evaluation.
  • Manage the development, delivery and follow up of key program improvement areas derived from partner feedback, including our Partner Advisory Board and partner surveys.
  • Coordinate between the Partner team, Marketing, Sales and Product on new product releases and updates, as well as pricing and packaging changes.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 6+ years of sales or channel operations experience including 2+ years directly or indirectly supporting partnerships
  • Excellent business and financial knowledge, proficiency with Google Slides and Google Sheets.
  • Flexible and adaptive, willing to respond to changing priorities or requirements in an agile manner.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a high-growth, start-up culture
  • Excellent communicator with strong writing skills
  • Excellent market research and analytics skill
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experienced in remote working, with self- motivation and discipline in time management to stay on track
  • Ability to travel 15-25% as needed.
