OVERVIEW
Instacart’s Retail Analytics & Insights Team is focused on leveraging Instacart’s extensive marketplace data to uncover insights and influence key strategic decisions for Instacart and our retail partners.
This Sr. Manager - Retailer Insights will be focused on deriving valuable and actionable insights for our top retail partners. Instacart’s extensive and granular data covers hundreds of grocery retailers and provides us with a unique and valuable perspective on the North American grocery market. In this role, you and your team will be responsible for leveraging this data to help our retail partners answer questions like “who are my customers?”, “how is my business performing?”, and “where are there opportunities to grow?”
ABOUT THE JOB
- Lead the Retailer Insights pillar of the BD Retail team, responsible for driving high-value, actionable insights for our top retail partners
- Take on a key leadership role for a newly developed Insights Portal that will be used to present data and insights directly to our retail partners. You will own this portal for the BD Retail team, from launch to partner onboarding and continuous improvement
- Work closely with Instacart’s Product, Engineering, and Design teams to launch, maintain, and continue expanding the scope of the portal
- Leverage your industry expertise to define our insights roadmap and drive constant innovation with our data
- Work directly with our retail partners to understand their most pressing questions and uncover creative and effective ways to answer them with data
- Uncover key macro trends and customer behavior from our data and develop them into industry reports for our top retail partners
- Adopt the role of an industry thought-leader and trusted consultant to our retail partners
ABOUT YOU
- 8+ years work experience in a retail analytics role
- Experience building, managing, and developing fast-paced teams
- A self-starter with the ability to quickly understand complex topics, identify gaps, and develop plans to add value
- Ability to quickly understand business concepts and use data to influence business decision making
- Polished communication skills and extensive experience working with senior leadership and external clients
- Eagerness to learn, flexibility to pivot when needed, savviness to navigate and thrive in a dynamic environment, and a growth mindset needed to build a successful team and company
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
