We are looking for an experienced Technical Instructor and Curriculum Developer who loves building educational material and teaching students.  An ideal candidate wants to be a major contributor to lead the development of our new customer educational capability under our Professional Services organization. This position is for someone who has a strong understanding of technology, ability to build new training collateral, and passion for educating students in new technology.

As a Technical Instructor, you’ll be responsible for providing technical implementation and end user training for our customers and partners. You’ll be joining a team of talented individuals who care deeply about Segment’s customers, partners, each other, and the broader community. Drive & Focus of the Role:

• Work closely with Professional Services and Engineering teams on development of implementation and end-user training
• Collaborate with other instructor(s), consultants and engineers to develop the training curriculum required for Segment solutions and technology 
• Create instructor materials (course outline, instructional materials, training aids, and lab exercises)
• Build and manage instructor-led in person and virtual training
• Build and manage online, self-paced, asynchronous training
• Take ownership of Segment University, the online training platform
• Construct certification program
• Work with the Services Engineering team to launch new training offerings 

What we're looking for:

• 8+ years of experience working as a Technical Instructor
• 3+ years experience in Martech, CRM, Cloud or IT / Data Center
• Worked with Web pages and Mobile applications
• Fluent in Javascript and similar programming languages
• Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Energized by opportunity to build and create an education capability and business
• Experienced with leading and building technical enablement capabilities for SaaS and technology providers
• Can manage multiple projects/tasks with minimal supervision.
• Qualified candidates must have excellent oral presentation and customer interaction skills
• Are able to travel up to 30% once post-Covid business travel resumes

Desirable But Not Essential

• Experience working closely with similar Data and Marketing Technologies
• Certifications in similar technologies (Big Data, Development, Cloud, CRM Applications etc.)
• Expertise in multiple areas of the MarTech ecosystem and concepts including attribution, Analytics, Adtech, CRM, Mobile, NPS, and more
