About the Support Specialist at Headspace Health:

Come be a leader to help build and innovate our Member Support Team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about creating an unparalleled level of service for Ginger members. Our Member Support Specialists facilitate an excellent experience through customer service and administrative interactions with our members on a daily basis. As a direct line to our members, they are also an essential voice inside our company and use data to advocate for improvements to our product.

You must be an excellent communicator, a team player, compassionate, and able to stay calm and troubleshoot in the face of a storm. A passion for detail and organization is also key, as you’ll be managing many different communications internally and across our community.

This position has a requirement of working in predetermined shifts as a part of being a 24/7 operation. Exact shift needs will be discussed with candidates during the interview process.


How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace Health:

  • Manage clinical intake process for new members and assisting them through the process of setting up their first appointment with a compatible clinician 

  • Manage payments, billing and claims information for members by working in collaboration with the billing department and communicating the information back to the member

  • Identify, escalate and monitor technical issues affecting members to the appropriate department and follow up until a resolution has been reached

  • Work collaboratively to research information and troubleshoot problems across multiple channels to improve member and company experience

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 6 months+ experience delivering customer service via chat, phone or in person
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven ability to deliver an empathetic approach in written and verbal form

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. Zendesk, Helpscout, Desk, etc.)
  • Basic comprehension of insurance terminology
  • Experience working from home/in a startup environment 
  • Experience working a chat based customer service job
  • Associate Degree or higher
