The Role

Divvy Homes is looking for a Systems Implementation specialist to join our growing team. This position will be the main point of contact in the accounting team that will work with various teams to ensure data accuracy, automate processes where possible and improve efficiencies within our month end close process for multiple business units. This position plays an integral role in accurately transferring data from multiple platforms into NetSuite, ensure process and controls are in place with various departments and will be our NetSuite guru! We are seeking someone capable of potentially learning multiple accounting functions, and eager to jump in and help the team in a myriad of ways. This position will report to the Controller.

 

Your colleagues on the accounting team are comprised of public, banking and startup alumni, and this role will have constant interaction across all departments. A self-starter that can execute the task at hand and be a forward thinker on how to improve the process, will surely succeed in this role.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working as a subject matter expert with NetSuite required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting required
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in NetSuite, Bill.com, Brex and Expensify
  • Candidate must be process-oriented with the ability to critically review current procedures and policies and recommend and implement changes across multiple departments.

What you'll be doing

  • Liaison between the accounting team and PDE. Work with Product and Engineering team to resolve issues, place controls around workflows and streamline processes
  • Ensure data is accurate from our home-grown system (Admin) and integrate with NetSuite to produce daily, weekly and/or monthly journals
  • Streamline payment matching with invoices (rent expectations) between NetSuite and Stripe
  • Set-up Fixed Assets module and depreciate assets within NetSuite
  • Capitalization of maintenance by tenant/asset
  • Ensure Multi-subsidiary and intercompany accounting is accurate
  • Produce financial reports within NetSuite (GAAP vs. Management view
  • Serve as a backup for the accounting team to assist during month end, quarter end, year-end for audit and tax
  • Ad hoc projects as they arise
